Confidence by the blood of Jesus!

   Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus. Heb. 10:19

   Is there anything a human being needs more and more - as the truth about oneself - about mans real condition - becomes clear for it in Gods light - it is to find a true and real reason for boldness before God! - Because all boldness one previously found in oneself has now vanished like dew before the sun. One find oneself as naked and undressed before Him. What shall I hide myself in then?
   First of all is it a question about boldness to stand in the presence of God at all - «- enter the holy place» - as the apostle describes it here.
   But also boldness to everything else in Christian life demands a true ground to stand on. For example boldness to witness to others about our Savior. Here Satan turns up immediately with his accusations: Who are you who witnesses about Jesus? You who constantly sins! - You who are so full of hypocrisy an falsity! - Yes, you now it is true! - You does not mean anything to the full, and does certainly not live in accordance with what you mean at any rate!
   Yes, this is the way he uses Gods own law against you, and this he can do as long as you are trying to find the reason for boldness in yourself and your own. Only the spiritual blind can be satisfied with what they find there, not the one who is of the truth and has got eyes to see with.
   But if you get your eyes focused on the reason for boldness that the apostle points out here, both Satan and your own hearts condemnation have to retreat before joy and certainty: «Therefore, brethren... confidence by the blood of Jesus!»
