A light of revelation!

   «- A LIGHT OF REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, And the glory of Your people Israel.» Luke 2:32

   Jesus has many names in the Scripture, and we meat one o f them here: A light of revelation! It is by the light of the Holy Spirit over Jesus' many names, you learn to know the Lord, and the Lords salvation. The light begins to shine for you.
   But many goes right past this, and asks: What do the Lord want us to do? Because Christianity is to do something or be something for the Lord? No, the Scripture speaks straight out - and how clearly isn't that preached exactly in the Christmas message? Christianity is a message about what God has done. He has sent His salvation to the earth, in a person, Jesus Christ.
   But without this revelation, there are noone who can see the kingdom of God. Therefore, turn your attention towards the light, if you want to learn to know salvation.
   Who is He light and savation for then? The Word testifies that He is sent from the God of the heavens, just because of you! - It is said in our text. It is said about Him, when He came into the world, that «He will save His people from their sins.» (Mat. 1:21).
   No sin can condemn you anymore! Here you find the reason for the believers peace. He became to us peace, as He has taken on Himself, and away from the presence of God, everything that shut us out.
   And as He took the sin away, He also took the consequences of the sin away, namely this, that we had to be shut out of the kingdom of God, in a disproportion towards Him. God reconciled the world to Himself. (2 Cor. 5:19).
   This is now preached both to the one who are near (Israel) and to the one who are far away (the gentile, the ungodly). He is our peace!
   May the Christmas message be a Christmas gospel to you this year! Most people pass by this. But as far as the Lord concerns, it still stands firm: A light of revelation to the gentiles!
